Three Arrested in Connection with Shooting Incident at Celebrity Golf Club in Sakumono

The Accra Regional Police Command has arrested three individuals in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at the Celebrity Golf Club in Sakumono, Accra, on Saturday, October 18, 2025.

In a statement released on Sunday, October 19, police confirmed that investigations have been launched to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident, which temporarily disrupted activities at the renowned leisure and golfing facility.

“The Accra Regional Police Command has commenced investigations into a shooting incident that occurred yesterday, 18th October 2025, at the Celebrity Golf Club in Sakumono, Accra.
Three persons have so far been arrested in connection with the incident, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend any other persons involved,” the statement read.

While the motive behind the shooting remains unclear, authorities have yet to disclose the identities of the suspects involved. The police, however, have assured the public that a thorough investigation is ongoing and further updates will be provided as new information becomes available.

The Celebrity Golf Club, situated within the Tema West Municipality, is a prominent destination known for its golf tournaments, high-profile gatherings, and recreational events. Saturday’s incident has raised concerns about security at public recreational venues.
