The Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Dormaa West Constituency, Mr. Kwame Owusu, has expressed strong confidence that the conduct and leadership style of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia position him favourably to win the NPP flagbearer race ahead of the 2028 general elections.
During Dr. Bawumia’s recent visit to the Bono Region, Mr. Owusu praised the former Vice President for his calm disposition and refusal to engage in divisive politics. He noted that Bawumia’s continuous emphasis on party unity and discipline has strengthened the NPP’s internal cohesion and inspired grassroots supporters.
According to Mr. Owusu, before Dr. Bawumia’s emergence as a leading figure in the party, the NPP’s morale had weakened considerably.
