President Mahama Calls for Enhanced Ghana-Grenada Trade and Investment Relations
President John Dramani Mahama has called for stronger trade and investment cooperation between Ghana and Grenada, highlighting the mutual benefits such a partnership would bring to both nations.
The President made this appeal during a courtesy call by the Prime Minister of Grenada, Hon. Dickon Mitchell, at the Jubilee House as part of his two-day state visit to Ghana. Prime Minister Mitchell was welcomed with full honors, including an official guard of honor—an indication of the deep and growing diplomatic ties between the two countries.
In their bilateral discussions, President Mahama underscored the importance of deepening collaboration in key strategic sectors, including health, energy, agriculture, and tourism. He also reiterated the significance of forging stronger economic links between Africa and the Caribbean.
President Mahama encouraged African and Caribbean businesses to take full advantage of investment opportunities in Ghana, particularly under the framework of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), which has its Secretariat headquartered in Accra.
This high-level engagement signals a renewed commitment to fostering South-South cooperation and leveraging shared heritage and common goals for sustainable development.
